Paul is a sophomore at St. Louis Community College and is studying mechanical engineering. He is planning on transferring to Missouri S&T in the fall of 2015. He volunteers doing tech in the children’s ministry at The Crossing. This is Paul’s first year as a team member of BreakDown STL, and he is very thankful and excited for the opportunity to impact the lives of St. Louis youth.
Dan is currently enrolled in Jefferson College with the intent to transfer to Missouri S&T after finishing two years. This is his second year on the team. Dan is currently trying to start many different life groups throughout his community in which the individuals will build relationships with each other while challenging others to be the best they can possibly be.
Dustin serves at Trinity CRC where he teaches and leads worship for both the youth group and main service, along with leading a bible study, and playing in an acoustic worship band called Beautiful Sacrifice. He is very thankful for the opportunity to both reach out to the St. Louis youth on the BreakDown STL OffStage team and to begin building relationships with the BreakDown STL family!
Taylor is currently a senior at Lafayette High School. Along with serving as the Dance Chair on Student Council, she enjoys being involved in National Honor Society, Class Advisory, and Lafayette Ladies Bible Study. Outside of school she is active in her school’s Young Life and The Crossing’s Youth Group. When she has down time she enjoys doing anything involving art, especially painting. Taylor feels blessed to have the opportunity of being a part of this great organization and can’t wait to help others grow while also growing in her walk with Christ.
Elise is a senior at Lafayette High School representing the OffStage team for the first time this year. She is passionate about BreakDown STL because of its impact in her own life, and it continuous pursuit of reaching out to others as well. Outside of this incredible organization, she spends much of her time enjoying cross-country, track, and nature. In addition, she is also involved at her school as a National Honor Society Executive, choir, women’s Bible Study, co-leader of cross-country Bible study, Student Council, and Renaissance. She finds inspiration from her faith in God, who offers grace to all who accept Him, and knows that because of that grace she will someday live eternally in Heaven with Him, and her brothers and sisters in Christ.
Meghan is a senior at Incarnate Word Academy High School. She loves being involved in her school, but her favorite part is being a part of the faith life at her high school by helping to lead Girls In Faith Together Club and being involved in Liturgy Committee. She feels very passionate and called to continue to make the Lord’s presence known at her school. She also loves being a part of her youth group at Incarnate Word Parish. Meghan couldn’t be more excited for her first year on BreakDown STL because of her big passion for making a difference, spreading God’s joy, and letting other teens know that they are loved. She is so excited to continue to give God her all and see the beauty He makes out of her and how God continues to pursue her and use her as a woman of the Word this year. Meghan couldn’t be more humbled to allow God to use her as an instrument to do his work on BreakDown STL. Praised be the Incarnate Word!
This is Jess’ second year on BreakDown STL being an OffStage Peer Mentor. She is very excited to be serving as the OffStage co-captain and cannot wait to see the amazing impact OffStage has on students this year. Jess graduated from Fox Senior High School and currently attends Maryville University majoring in elementary education. She enjoys playing ultimate Frisbee in her free time and also being involved in her church, Evangelical Full Gospel assembly. She volunteers at Vacation Bible School in the summer and loves working with kids and teens to encourage and grow their faith. Jess is grateful to serve on this team another year and thanks God for leading her to this ministry.
Hanna is currently a junior in high school, and very excited to be on the team this year. She loves playing on her varsity volleyball team, and also has a passion for music. Hanna very much enjoys hanging out with her family and friends as often as she can! About 3 years ago she learned how important her relationship with Jesus is and has grown closer to Him through loving parents and amazing people around her. She is excited how this year will grow her in her relationship with Him, and to encourage teenagers to make positive life choices!
