Our Mission
BreakDown STL empowers teens to make positive choices regarding sex, relationships, drugs, alcohol, self-harm, bullying and suicide through a variety of formats by providing preventative health education.
Who We Are
BreakDown STL is dedicated to reversing damaging cultural health epidemics affecting our youth. Executive Director Jenna Imergoot formed the first BreakDown STL team in 2006. The team now reaches approximately 10,800 teens each year.
Using proven communications methods, BreakDown STL educates, entertains, challenges and inspires students to make healthy choices regarding drugs, alcohol, relationships, sex and bullying. By integrating dance, drama, motivational speaking and multimedia into high energy presentations suitable for schools, as well as church and community groups, BreakDown STL empowers and encourages even the most skeptical teen to value themselves and their long-term physical and mental health.
