JENNA IMERGOOT
Founder & President
Jenna Imergoot is the Founder and President of BreakDown STL, a Christ-centered nonprofit ministry she launched in 2006 in response to God's call to reach and disciple the next generation after her own life was radically transformed by Jesus. For over two decades, she has devoted her life to raising up young people who passionately follow Jesus, boldly share their faith, and influence their families, schools, communities, and culture for the Kingdom of God.
With more than 30 years of experience as a coach, youth leader, mentor, and discipler, Jenna has invested in the lives of countless students, equipping them to become lifelong disciples and servant leaders. Her greatest passion is helping young people discover their identity in Christ, develop authentic relationships with Him, and live out their God-given purpose with confidence.
Before founding BreakDown STL, Jenna worked professionally in the performing arts, where she gained experience in dance, choreography, production, and creative media. That background continues to shape BreakDown STL's innovative approach to ministry, using multimedia presentations, drama, storytelling, and creative communication to connect with today's generation while sharing the unchanging truth of the Gospel.
Under Jenna's leadership, BreakDown STL has become more than a ministry; it is a discipleship movement committed to developing the next generation of Ambassadors for Christ and servant leaders. Through live presentations, leadership development, outreach initiatives, mentoring relationships, and intentional discipleship, BreakDown STL equips students to make disciples, engage today's culture with truth and grace, and transform their communities through the love of Jesus.
Whether speaking from a stage or mentoring one-on-one, Jenna's desire is the same: to help people know Jesus deeply and make Him known faithfully.
Jenna serves full-time in ministry alongside her husband, Terry, affectionately known as "Papa T." Together, they have spent decades investing in the next generation and are committed to helping young people discover God's purpose for their lives and courageously answer His call.
Outside of BreakDown STL, Jenna's greatest joy and first ministry is her family. She and Papa T are the proud parents of Johnny, who is married to Lauren, and Reagan, who is married to Dennis. One of her greatest joys is being "Honey" to her grandson, Hudson. Becoming “Honey” has given Jenna an even deeper appreciation for the importance of discipling the next generation and a renewed passion for leaving a legacy of faith that points generations to Jesus.
Terry (Papa T) Imergoot
VP of Operations and Finance
Terry Imergoot serves as the Vice President of Operations & Finance for BreakDown STL, where he provides strategic leadership, operational excellence, and financial stewardship that enable the ministry to thrive. Affectionately known as "Papa T," Terry is known for his servant's heart, steady leadership, and genuine love for the next generation.
Since BreakDown STL was founded in 2006 by his wife, Jenna, Terry has faithfully served the ministry in countless ways. From photography and production to mentoring and discipling young men, event logistics, transportation, administration, and behind-the-scenes support, he has always been willing to do whatever was needed to advance the mission. After years of faithfully volunteering, Terry sensed the Lord calling him to serve full-time and officially joined the BreakDown STL staff in February 2022.
Terry is passionate about helping create environments where students can encounter Jesus, grow as disciples, and discover God's purpose for their lives. Over the years, he has witnessed countless lives transformed through BreakDown STL and considers it one of the greatest privileges of his life to invest in young people alongside Jenna. Whether mentoring students, serving behind the scenes, or ensuring every detail is in place, Terry believes that every role matters in advancing God's Kingdom.
Together, Terry and Jenna have dedicated their lives to developing the next generation of Ambassadors for Christ and servant leaders. Their greatest desire is to see young people know Jesus deeply, live out their faith boldly, and impact the world for His glory.
Outside of ministry, Terry's greatest honor and joy is his family. He and Jenna are the proud parents of Johnny, who is married to Lauren, and Reagan, who is married to Dennis. One of his favorite roles is being "Papa" to his grandson, Hudson. The title "Papa T," once given to him by a former student, has taken on even greater meaning as he embraces the joy of investing in the next generation both at home and through the ministry he loves.
